House Republicans voted Wednesday to bury a bill that would allow smoking in casinos and bars, hours after a committee voted to send it to the floor for debate.

Valihura Jr., R-Edenridge, said they would introduce a resolution today calling for the Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council to meet monthly, instead of quarterly, for a year after the smoking ban takes effect. The group of business, academic and government officials estimates state revenues and could focus on the bill's impact, they said.

The Republicans won't be getting "lots of green" from the casinos if they continue to lay in the gutter with the Dems.

So basically, it is all about the money - not about health or business owners' rights.... According to business owners it is about health and business rights - their right to have a healthy business.
The only ones screaming this is about health not money are the anti-smoker forces - and it seemed they were able to brain wash enough members of the General Assembly to go along with it.
